The new models of Toyota will get a boost by adopting dynamic designs equipped with more compact and lighter vehicles. One another clever idea is to produce bulk of lower cost affordable vehicles while maintain the high quality standards.
Currently Toyota has accelerated research, development and production capacity for nickel-metal hydride and lithium-ion solid state and lithium-air battery technologies. Toyota Hybrids amount to a fair share of 16% of the company’s sale in United States, this figure mounts to more than 5Million Hybrids since the launch in US & globally.
With good design and performance the consumer demand is on a constant rise, hence Toyota plans to sell 250,000 Prius in the US this year. In his interview Mr. Ohara said that “Longer term, hybrids have a potential to grow,” and that “Maybe Prius has bigger potential than gas-based products.”
Ford has shown very good market signs with a total sale of 53,000 electric vehicles in the U.S. this year through July, almost five times its deliveries a year earlier. Ford is vigorously working in an intensive incentive based campaign for its sales in US. An estimated 10,400 EV are sold by Telsa in US market within the first seven months of 2013.

With Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s efforts to weaken the yen exports are boosting Toyota’s earnings. With an increase of 3% additional Local Sales tax, from 5% to 8% starting from 1st. April 2014, the demand of Hybrid vehicles will see a rapid growth.
